The Kindergarten Enhancement Classes focus on the kindergarten curriculum through an interest and play-based model. Our children write stories, play with letters, blend and segment words, direct and act in plays, participate in math games, graph results, "weigh" numbers, measure distances, construct ramps and levers, and investigate art, mass, volume, nature and the world around them. They work in teams in small and large groups, learn to negotiate, use manners, solve challenges, and build critical social and thinking skills.
The children in K.E. classes have large motor time every day indoors or out, and have music class once per week with the BLC music teacher. The K.E. students also have a school provided snack each day.
