WINTER OUTDOOR PLAY 2011-2012

 The BLC classes will play outdoors as often as possible.

During the Winter months, please check the temperature and wind chill by 8:30 a.m. on each class day, as reported by the WGN Weather Center.  Please copy and paste the address below into your browser, or click the link to the left to access the current temperature and wind chill in Elmhurst as reported by WGN. 

If either the temperature or the wind chill is below 30 degrees, the classes will not go outdoors to play.  If both temperature and wind chill are 30 degrees or more, the classes may play outside, so please bring the following clothing items to school for your child: winter hat, winter coat, waterproof gloves or mittens, snow pants, and snow boots.

Please note:  If the temperature at 8:30 a.m. is above 25 degrees, please make sure your child is wearing a winter coat, winter hat, winter gloves or mittens, and long pants or tights.  Although it might be too cold to play outside, we may still take the children on a short walk if it warms up by outdoor play time.
