Philosophy
At Bethel Learning Center we are
dedicated to the development of the whole
child. We are committed to meet the individual needs of each
child so that he or she can feel significant and successful.
Purposeful play, for the young child, is the most dynamic way of learning.
It enhances problem solving, language development, literacy skills, creative
thinking, awareness of feelings, consideration for others,
and decision making. Through play, children learn and grow in their own uniqueness.
(See page 4 of the BLC handbook for our full philosophy
statement.)

Bethel Learning Center is part of the Bethel United Church of Christ.
Although no specific religious principles are taught as part of our
curriculum, Christian morals and values are modeled and a part of our
every day lives. Each class at BLC begins snack and/or lunch with a prayer.
Additionally, religious and/or cultural holidays may be
acknowledged in your
child's classroom.
